Tangles

We've been revelling in tangles around here this week; one of those weeks when you stop fighting all the chaos and let it help you be somewhere worth stopping. There is a 'ship' in the kitchen made of all the cushions and blankets in the house and Myrtle and C had breakfast in it this morning. There are piles of allsorts that Mo has been climbing through and over with delight. He and I have been letting it all lie where it fell and heading out to the park for picnic teas and little happy rambles. The children have been coming home from school and dressing up. Instead of housework, during Mo's naps I've been making puppet heads and reading about Rudolf Steiner. Often I think of tidying and cleaning up as clearing the way for creative energy and rest but sometimes the best way to find these things is just to let it all go. Tangles can be beautiful (and make perfect doll hair)
